The Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children with special needs, including those diagnosed with Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD. Our mission is to provide these children with the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Donor Relations and Fundraising Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in securing funds through grants and donor contributions to support our programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and submit compelling grant proposals that align with the foundation’s mission and goals.
• Research and identify grant opportunities from government agencies, corporations, and other funding sources.
• Manage the entire grant application process, ensuring timely submissions and accurate record-keeping.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic organizations.
• Design and implement strategies to increase donor engagement and contributions through personalized communication and events.
• Collaborate with the program team to understand the impact of our initiatives and effectively communicate these successes to donors and grantors.
• Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events and campaigns to generate support for the foundation’s mission.
• Work closely with the executive team to ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in fundraising and grant writing, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Proven track record of securing grants and donations from diverse sources.
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft persuasive grant proposals and donor appeals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
