Call for Mentors: Join the FAO-PAFO Youth Mentorship Program 2025

Are you an experienced professional in agriculture, agribusiness, leadership, or rural development? The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Pan-African Farmers’ Organization (PAFO) are looking for passionate individuals like you to mentor the next generation of African agripreneurs through the FAO-PAFO Youth Mentorship Program.

This initiative aims to empower young African agricultural producers by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to succeed in the agri-food sector. As a mentor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of agriculture in Africa by guiding and supporting 50 young farmers across the continent.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a mentor, you will:

• Conduct virtual training workshops to build capacity.
• Provide one-on-one or small group mentorship sessions.
• Assist in developing training materials tailored to the needs of young farmers.
• Offer ongoing guidance and evaluate the progress of your mentees.

Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is open to professionals who meet the following criteria:

• Experience: 10+ years in agriculture, agribusiness, leadership, or related fields.
• Expertise: Strong knowledge in areas such as marketing, finance, rural development, digital innovation, or sustainability.
• Skills: Excellent communication and mentorship abilities.
• Language: Fluency in English and/or French.

• Duration: March – September 2025
