About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Program Officer to join our team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and overseeing programs that align with our organization’s mission. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive impactful initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to meaningful community development.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Development & Planning: Assist in designing program strategies, objectives, and activities. Contribute to proposal writing, budgeting, and stakeholder consultations to ensure programs meet community needs.
- Implementation & Coordination: Oversee day-to-day program execution, ensuring timely and effective delivery while adhering to budgets and organizational policies.
- Team & Partner Management: Supervise program staff, volunteers, and external partners, fostering collaboration for successful outcomes.
- Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): Develop M&E frameworks to track progress, assess impact, and generate reports for stakeholders and donors.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, donors, and community partners to enhance program effectiveness.
- Financial & Resource Management: Monitor budgets, ensure proper fund utilization, and support fundraising efforts, including grant applications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in program management, preferably within the NGO or development sector.
Skills:
- Strong project planning and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Budget management and financial reporting expertise.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
