The Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) is a non-governmental organization established in 1998 to advocate for the rights and well-being of people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Nigeria. Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2004, NEPWHAN has grown into a vibrant community network dedicated to improving the lives of PLHIV across the country.
Position Overview:
NEPWHAN is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Survey Administrative Assistant to support the administrative and organizational functions of the PLHIV Stigma Index Survey 2.0. The successful candidate will be based at the NEPWHAN National Secretariat in Abuja and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of the research project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Stigma Index Survey 2.0 research team.
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes.
- Coordinate research activities by liaising with relevant departments and project leaders.
- Facilitate the dissemination of information to stakeholders as required.
- Implement and track policy decisions related to the research project.
- Develop and maintain a system to address queries and issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide necessary administrative support for the survey.
- Assist in creating promotional materials, including reports, brochures, and website content.
- Plan and coordinate events such as meetings and workshops.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the research project and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Consultant.
- Address any duties arising from the final review of the Stigma Index protocol.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/HND) in Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in office administration.
- Prior experience working with target populations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using REDCap for data collection and analysis, as well as other analytical software.
- Fluency in English with excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in statistical and graphical data analysis.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
