Each year, the FMN Prize for Innovation focuses on a critical area within the food value chain that plays a vital role in the advancement and long-term development of Nigeria's food systems.
The First Edition's Highlights
The inaugural edition of FMN’s Prize for Innovation was created to promote innovative technologies and ideas addressing food loss and wastage in Nigeria's agricultural production. The competition featured two categories, open to Nigerian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Category 1:
Open to registered Nigerian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating within the food and agro-allied sector.
Category 2:
Geared towards students with forward-thinking ideas on transforming livestock farming in Nigeria.
