About Maisha Meds
Maisha Meds is a transformative organization committed to enhancing healthcare delivery across Africa through cutting-edge technology. Established in 2017, Maisha Meds has built the largest digital network of private pharmacies and clinics in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Nigeria. Our innovative mobile software empowers healthcare providers to streamline sales, manage inventory, and track patient care while offering reimbursements for delivering high-quality, subsidized services in malaria treatment, family planning, and HIV prevention.
With millions of patient visits logged annually and hundreds of thousands of reimbursements processed, Maisha Meds leverages data from its vast network to uncover health and market trends. This enables us to design impactful solutions tailored to the communities we serve. Our programs have been rigorously evaluated in collaboration with prestigious institutions like UC Berkeley, Emory University, and KEMRI, demonstrating significant improvements in the uptake of long-acting contraceptives and effective malaria case management.
Supported by partners such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Innovation Ventures, Maisha Meds is scaling its operations to reach 7,500 pharmacies and clinics by late 2026. This expansion will provide subsidized care to nearly one million additional patients, furthering our mission to make quality healthcare accessible to all.
