Role Overview
We seek 3 skilled Enumerators to conduct a critical Community Stakeholder Mapping Exercise across Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina States. This assignment focuses on identifying and analyzing key actors in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) efforts. Your work will directly inform strategies to strengthen collaboration, address gaps, and amplify community resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Identification & Engagement
- Map community institutions, leaders, and organizations involved in PCVE initiatives.
- Develop inclusive contact lists spanning religious groups, youth/women associations, and local governance bodies.
Data Collection & Analysis
- Use structured templates to assess stakeholders’ roles, capacities, and awareness levels.
- Analyze relationships between actors to identify collaboration opportunities.
Fieldwork & Validation
- Conduct field visits to remote areas for face-to-face interviews and focus group discussions.
- Validate findings through community feedback sessions.
Reporting
- Submit clean, organized data in specified formats (Excel/ODK/KoboToolbox).
- Deliver a concise report highlighting actionable insights for PCVE programming.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Diploma/Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or related fields.
Experience:
Proven background in data collection/research (PCVE, governance, or social development projects preferred).
Familiarity with digital tools like ODK, SurveyCTO, or KoboToolbox is a strong advantage.
Skills:
Fluency in Hausa and English (written and spoken).
Strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse community groups.
Ability to work independently in challenging environments.
Logistics: Willingness to travel extensively within assigned states.
