Role Overview
UNDP is seeking an Administrative Officer (Premises & Facilities Management) for its Innovation Center in Lagos—a dynamic hub fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and collaboration among policymakers, startups, and development partners.
This role ensures the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of UNDP's Lagos office, creating a safe, functional, and professional work environment aligned with UN standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilities & Maintenance Management
- Oversee outsourced service providers (cleaning, security, maintenance) to ensure compliance with SLAs.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Promote green building initiatives for energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Operations & Logistics
- Manage office space allocation, modifications, and visitor coordination.
- Supervise utility services (power, water, waste disposal) and backup generator operations.
- Process vendor payments and track maintenance budgets.
Reporting & Compliance
- Provide quarterly reports on facility status, risks, and improvement recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to UN safety, procurement, and asset management policies.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil), Estate Management, or related fields.
- Secondary education with additional certifications in facility/project management is acceptable.
Experience:
- 5+ years in facility management, logistics, or operations (UN/INGO experience preferred).
- Proficiency in SAP/Umoja ERP systems and inventory management.
- Background in emergency response protocols is an advantage.
Competencies:
- Strong leadership in managing teams and contractors.
- Problem-solving skills for technical and administrative challenges.
- Client-focused approach with stakeholders (government, NGOs, UN agencies).
