Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Lab Technician / Science Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in diagnostic testing, ensuring accurate results and maintaining high laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample Collection & Preparation: Collect blood, tissue, and other patient samples, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
• Laboratory Testing: Perform routine and specialized tests, analyzing samples with precision.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment (microscopes, cell counters, etc.).
• Data Recording & Reporting: Document test results in patient records and communicate critical findings to physicians.
• Quality Control: Adhere to laboratory protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Blood Compatibility Testing: Conduct blood typing and cross-matching for transfusions.
• Drug Level Monitoring: Perform tests to measure medication levels in patient blood samples.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree (BSc/HND) in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical laboratory setting (3 years preferred).

Skills:

• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment handling.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
