I would like to pose a question:
- 1. Individuals holding a BSc in Community Health Science have received education from esteemed medical doctors, professors of medicine, and other professionals from diverse fields. It is surprising that you require these individuals to undergo additional education from professionals at a college of health, who may not possess the same level of expertise as those from a university. Doesn't this compromise the standards of the profession, particularly in comparison to other fields? We urge you to reconsider and make a more informed decision that benefits the profession. Other fields have adopted similar approaches.
- 2. What are the benefits of requiring BSc Community Health and HND Community Health holders to take the CHEW exam for licensure purposes? It appears unfair to mandate that these individuals obtain a CHEW license.
- 3. We have heard that the following equivalencies exist, but we would appreciate clarification :- BSc/HND = CHEW license - ND = JCHEW license
- 1. The HND/BSc Community Health program is a rigorous five-year course that encompasses various theoretical and practical aspects, including internship.
- 2. We are curious to know who will be teaching these qualified individuals during the proposed 6-month period. What additional knowledge or skills will be imparted to HND/BSc holders that they have not already acquired?
- 3. In today's modern era, where information is readily accessible, we believe it is essential to reevaluate the current system and make necessary adjustments to align with contemporary standards.
