Position Overview
Interns will work at least 250 hours during the summer, with a hybrid schedule based in Washington, D.C., and report directly to the Vice President for Philanthropy. The role is compensated with a $4,000 stipend.
Key Responsibilities
- Process donations and acknowledgment communications
- Support special events and donor engagement efforts
- Conduct research on prospective foundations, corporations, and individual funders
- Utilize tools such as Bonterra CRM and Adobe Marketo
- Assist with donor stewardship strategies
- Participate in special projects aligned with personal interests and goals
Ideal Candidate Profile
Refugees International seeks candidates who bring:
- Enthusiasm for RI’s mission and humanitarian work
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

- Experience in nonprofit work, research, or database management is a plus
