The Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace (COFP) is thrilled to announce the Call for Applications for the 2025/2026 COFP Fellowship Program.

Do you aspire to join a dynamic community of changemakers committed to fostering dialogue, resolving conflicts, and promoting social cohesion? If yes, this is your opportunity to be part of the prestigious COFP Fellowship Program and create lasting impact in your community.
About the COFP Fellowship Program
Since its launch in 2018, the COFP Fellowship Program has empowered over 325 individuals from 16 African countries with essential skills and knowledge in:
- Interfaith dialogue
- Conflict management
- Peacebuilding
The program is designed by Africans, for Africans, ensuring that its curriculum remains relevant and responsive to the unique realities on the continent.
What Makes the COFP Fellowship Unique?
- African Context
Tailored to address Africa’s specific peace and security challenges, the program is developed and led by experts from the region. - Structured Learning Experience
The fellowship spans one year, divided into three modules. Fellows will attend quarterly week-long, in-person training sessions in Abuja, Nigeria. - Hands-On Peacebuilding
Each Fellow receives a small seed grant to implement a community-based peace project before graduation. - Professional Certification
Graduates are awarded university certificates in:- Interreligious Dialogue
- Conflict Transformation
- Mediation
These certificates are presented during the final module.
- A Lifelong Network
Upon graduation, Fellows become part of the COFP Africa Network of Peacebuilders (CANEP) — a growing, pan-African community of professionals committed to promoting peace.

- Cost: The COFP Fellowship Program is completely FREE.
Note: Selected Fellows are responsible for their transportation to Abuja, Nigeria, for the three in-person sessions. - How to Apply:
